Because of One Man’s Words

“Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.” John 1:35-37
The words that we say are powerful They can express or they can conceal They reflect our attitudes and emotions They can hurt or they can heal
They can draw much attention To the one who spoke the words Or they can point a soul yet upward Through the praise His name affords
One man bore witness That the man from Galilee Was the Lamb of God, God’s perfect Son Who came to set men free
John spoke of His perfection He mentioned His authenticity He prepared the way for Jesus So that all men could see
That Jesus is the Lamb of God Perfect, sinless, pure, and Holy Through faith in Him and repentance from sin Whosever will can be cleansed fully
Worthy of praise is our precious Lord His message one of grace No other was there ever born Who could possibly take His place
For our sins He bled and died A full ato…

My God

My God rules all nature
My God made the sea
My God spoke the world into existence
My God cares for me He not only knows all things
But reigns as true Supreme
Why then should I worry
No matter how things may seem There is no searching of His understanding
His wisdom far exceeds
The world's feeble intelligence
And He's the One who meets my needs I'm so thankful that I know Him
I'm so glad that He's my friend
Oh, how reassuring His love
That through eternity will not end

When I Look at the Cross

“As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men.” Isaiah 52:14 “And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.” Mark 15:24
When I look at the cross What a priceless scene I see Oh, what a sacrifice of love! When my Savior gave His life for me
When I look at the cross I see such pain, agony, and shame That my Savior joyfully endured in my place It was this end for which He came
When I look at the cross I see the grace that He bestows To wash a sinner clean Oh, what mercy He shows!
When I look at the cross I see a visage marred The wrath of God was poured out on Jesus For the sin with which I’m scarred
When I look at the cross I see such cleansing sweet The fountain filled with blood washes clean When I kneel at Jesus feet
My mind cannot fathom The depths of His love The glory of His triumph The power in His blood
How He who knew no sin Became sin in my stead …

The LORD is So Good

The LORD is so good So strong and so mighty The mountains His handiwork show He speaks to the storm The waves He doth calm The depth of His power no mortal can know
A Mighty Defender Strong to prevail His hand in history conveyed His voice so powerful His words unrestrained For even the demons obeyed
A Matchless Provider This Maker of mine For even the birds He doth feed The lilies arrayed In splendor and glory Attest to His meeting of need
A kind tender Father That cares for His own Who lovingly guides us each day With mercy and patience He word teaches And gently shows us the way ~Em Kennedy~

Matthew 6:25-33 "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which…
